Worst Jobs, Professions For Online Dating Profile
When it comes to dating, there are some universal red flags that nearly all people agree with, such as no photos in a dating profile, bad manners, etc., but there is another set of red flags that a lot of people in the San Francisco Bay Area and other large cities are not aware of, and that is one company.
Certain professions are notorious for dating difficulties, including police officers, military, etc., but there has been a rise in certain companies associated with people automatically swiping left on said profiles: Amazon, Meta, Alphabet, Palantir, Bytedance (Tik-Tok), Tesla, Airbnb, Uber etc.
You can find a good list here:
Most Evil Tech Companies, Most Toxic Tech Companies
Adding to the list above are companies like OpenAI and other AI companies since that list was published back in 2020 - oh how times have changed.
One might think that the number of people who find these companies as red flags is rather small, but if you remove employees from said companies, the percentage greatly increases.
That percentage increases more if you remove people who are only looking for casual flings and hookups.
Chances are, your tech company/job is not the only/main thing holding you back with dating success, but more on that later.

Leaving Company/Job Blank In Dating Profiles
Most people think that those who leave the company or job blank are doing it for privacy. Still, a growing number of people are doing so because they are realizing that working for a tech company is limiting their dating pool in areas like San Francisco, especially if their company is on the list above.
What makes it even worse is that some of these companies are known for poor work-life balance, long commutes etc. so people are factoring that in when deciding if someone has time to date or is ready for a relationship.
The blowback is not just from women but men, too. While men are more likely to care less about jobs/titles than women, the one area I have seen some men draw the line at is what they consider evil tech companies.
