Using Swimsuit Photos On Dating App Profiles
This is a common question I get from clients. Dating apps can be miserable and in an effort to get any sort of edge, it feels like all bets are off in terms of what is allowed and what is needed to stand out.
Competition is stiff and as apps move to further monetize users, reduce free attributes and feature more bells and whistles to reduce visibility, people are left to find any way possible to get an edge.
For women, this often means figuring out how to look more attractive and get more attention and showing more skin is usually one of the tactics that is considered when trying to achieve this objective.
Bikini Pics On Bumble (Bumble Photo Rules)
When it comes to bikini photos, or any photos for that matter, it’s crucial to understand what, if any, rules are in place on various dating apps that could lead to being reported or possibly banned by platforms.
Bumble is one of the more aggressive dating apps in this area and has very specific rules about what is not allowed. See below:

“Bikinis and swimwear pics are only okay if you are outdoors; for example, in a pool or at the beach. But if you’re indoors, that’s a no-no, since it looks too much like underwear.”
What this this means is that Bumble is fine with people using photos in natural settings but doesn’t allow photos that are out of place, unnecessary etc.
Bikini Photos On Hinge, Tinder Dating Profiles
Dating apps like Hinge and Tinder (both owned by the Match Group) don’t really have any guidelines or rules around bikini photos on dating profiles.
You are less likely to see bikini photos on Hinge than Tinder, given that Hinge is marketed as more for relationships/serious dating. That said, many people use Hinge as a hookup app as there are no rules against using it for such purposes and most people don’t use good judgment when using dating apps these days (assume people are truthful and approach it like they do Ubereats, Doordash etc).
That said, Tinder does ban sexual content so depending on the nature of said photos, they could be considered banned content.
