Hinge Or Bumble in 2025?
Hinge and Bumble are two of the most popular apps on the market today. They help make dating apps mainstream and have gone as far as opening the floodgates to the masses including celebrities.
For many of you, these two apps are used by most users, and the audiences on each app have a strong overlap, but that doesn’t mean these apps are the same or will yield the same results.
Knowing the differences between the apps can help save you time and sift through time-wasters more easily. Below are some key differences and similarities and why you may feel the apps are all the same (hint: it’s often lack of awareness, self-sabotage or inability to use good judgment).
Hinge vs Bumble: Which Is Better For Women, Men?
When it comes to dating apps, there are many opinions about whether apps are all the same, are any better, and which to use.
As a woman, it might feel like apps are all the same because most guys use multiple apps simultaneously. On average, women:
use fewer apps than men
spend less time on apps than men
are more likely to delete apps sooner than men
are likely to engage in fewer conversations than men
are likely to send out fewer likes than men on apps
When you consider all these facts and understand that men outnumber women on apps by an average of 2:1 to 3:1 or more, it’s no wonder women think apps are all the same.
Guys must send more likes out on apps to ‘play the numbers’ game on dating apps. This is a common belief that you may read online or ask any of your male friends but it is not one I subscribe to.
