Who Should Send The First Like On Hinge, Bumble?
There are lots of opinions about this from both men and women. Some men wait for women to send the first like because they may feel most of their likes don’t yield many matches (this might be true but it’s likely because they lack self-awarness, effort and are swiping outside their league).
Some women believe men should send the first likes on dating apps because they want to be pursued, believe in old-fashioned dating practices or have enough likes in their inbox already and don’t feel the need to spend more time when they have interest already.
Should Women Send Likes On Dating Apps?
This is a question I often get from clients, strangers, friends, and people I meet randomly out and about. There are several opinions on this and it is important to separate who the advice is coming from, understand nuance and context and explain why methodologies may or may not work for you. It will also depend on your relative success to date, urgency, and your ability to use good judgment, screen profiles, read people and make a good profile.
